I get asked this question all the time: “Am I too old to do a boudoir session?”
And my answer is always the same: absolutely not.

There’s no age limit on celebrating yourself, your body, or your beauty. Boudoir isn’t about being a certain size, shape, or age. It’s about capturing who you are right now and celebrating you and your body. Some people have physical limitations and I can promise you that there’s always a modification to every pose.

In fact, some of my most sessions have been with women over 40.  Many are in their 60’s, 70’s, and even 80’s. My own aunt, who in her 80’s decided to step in front of the camera and embrace the experience. She laughed, posed, and shined in her session. The joy on her face reminded me why boudoir is for everyone.  When she’s having a bad day she will often take out her photos to remind herself just how amazing she is.

Why Age Is Never a Limit

  • Confidence grows with time: The older we get, the more we understand who we are. That self-assurance translates beautifully in photographs.
  • Life is worth celebrating at every stage: A boudoir session is about honoring your story, whether you’re in your 20’s or your 80’s.
  • It’s about how you feel, not how you look: Boudoir isn’t about perfection.  It’s about embracing how you feel and seeing yourself in a new light.

What My Clients Say

Clients in their 70’s often tell me they wish they had done a boudoir session sooner. But, they are so glad they finally gave themselves permission to try it. They walk away feeling empowered, radiant, and deeply proud of themselves.

The Truth

Boudoir isn’t about age. It’s about confidence, celebration, and self-love. Whether you’re 25 or 85 you deserve to feel beautiful.

So, the real question isn’t “Am I too old to do boudoir?”  It’s “Why would I wait another day?”
