Kay is a beautiful mother of two adult children. On her second marriage, she is truly in love with her husband. She went a little outside her comfort zone to give him an amazing boudoir gift. In her spare time she loves to go hiking and traveling. Exploring old cemeteries, antique shopping and going to concerts are just a few of the other things she loves to do.
Giving her husband a gift he never thought she’d do was the biggest reason she booked a boudoir session. In the last few months she’s had some medication changes and her body has changed because of it. More importantly, I think Kay was hoping that this session would help her self-esteem and help her love her changed body a little more.
As with many of my sessions, I like to ask my clients some questions. Hearing from these amazing women in their own words helps other women understand just a little more what a boudoir session is like.
A little bit right from this gorgeous woman herself!
Firstly, did you feel scared or worried about anything before your session?
“I am not comfortable in my own skin and I am afraid of the judgment. I was very afraid of the way I look.”
What was your favorite part of your session?
“Sarah made me very comfortable and she is very easy to talk to. She put me at ease and reassured me. I felt so much better about myself after I saw how beautiful I looked. I felt like Sarah and I were old friends. The session was very empowering. Plus it let me live out a childhood dream of being a model. Maybe my photos will be seen and I can become a mature model 😆 “
What changes have you noticed in yourself after your photo shoot with Sarah?
“I feel more confident about my body and when I get down on myself I look at the pictures to see what my husband sees. I may do a mini shoot someday since it was an empowering experience and made my husband so happy.”
I’m thrilled that she had a great experience and I look forward to working with her again. Truly, getting to know my clients and hear their stories is one of my favorite parts of this job.
