Elena is a beautiful and sweet 53 year old widow. She has kids, a dog and cat. Recently, she’s begun dating and going out with her friends more and more. She booked her boudoir session as a way to capture her sexiness and show off her new found confidence. At 53, she feels more confident than she did in her 20’s and wanted to embrace herself as she is right now. There’s something about getting older where we are a little kinder to ourselves and accept our bodies a little more. I love this for her. Truly, she wanted to embrace herself fully and her boudoir photos showed her a side that most don’t get to see.
Going into her session she was a little worried that she would look bigger than she is. Elena is a little larger chested and sometimes she comes across bigger than she is in pictures because of it. Don’t worry, I had her back and know how to pose her so she looked her best. What was her favorite part of her session? Definitely, trying on different outfits and embracing her sexy self!
First, to start her session she had her hair and makeup done. Then, together we went through her outfits and even looked at some items in the studio closet. No worries, I showed her exactly how to pose so there was absolutely no guesswork. Throughout Elena’s session we talked about a lot of things. I enjoyed getting to know her more and hearing about her life. Honestly, one of my favorite parts of doing boudoir sessions is all the chatting and getting to know each other. You see, every woman has a unique story. Yet, we are all so alike in our worries, traumas, and more.
It is my hope that she found this session incredibly healing and empowering. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again that there is something so therapeutic about boudoir.
