Brittany is a 36 year old mom to 3 amazing kiddos.  She has a wonderful husband who she’s been with for 15 years.  Brittany is a newly licensed Registered Nurse.  Congratulations girl!  And she has a mild obsession with spicy novels and also has a serious obsession with Harry Potter.

I also think Brittany might hold some kind of record for most books read in a year.  She’s clearly an avid reader who has a book with her at all times.  In fact, she brought a couple of books to use as props during her boudoir session.  It only made sense since she’s such an avid reader.  I’ve had the opportunity to do a couple of shorter sessions with her in the past but this was the first time I’ve worked with her on a full boudoir session.  Needless to say, I was excited to work with her again.  She’s so fun to get to know and she’s a dream in front of the camera.

With most of my sessions, I like to ask some questions so you kinda get a feel for how sessions work here at Sarah Jane Boudoir.

Here’s a little bit from Brittany herself:

  • “Being a plus sized woman, it’s hard some days to really feel loved in your own body. I have struggled my whole life with being overweight and these last 2 years it has gotten worse. I struggled with postpartum after having my son, and still have days where i struggle to get out of bed. I wanted to step out of my comfort zone for once and try to see myself the way my husband sees me. As beautiful and sexy.”

  • “I was definitely worried that all my pictures would turn out crap. Not because of Sarah but because of the way I look.”
  • “Sarah is an amazing soul. She has this calming vibe about her that makes getting down to the nitty gritty lingerie (or less) possible for someone who is self conscious about their body. She makes the session fun, and really makes it easy to feel sexy and good about yourself.”
  • “Definitely when Sarah fell! KIDDING! No my favorite part would have to be the fact that Sarah was able to see the vision I had for some poses and help me bring them to life. Now, I’m not so nervous to share the pictures with anyone and everyone!”

Haha!  I love that she brought up when I fell.  Kid you not, I was taking pictures of her and stepped back and tripped over the chaise.  I flew backwards just missing hitting my head on the tub.  And thankfully I had my wrist brace on!!!!  Just had an angry thumb since, but it could have been so much worse.  I laughed my head off, it was so funny.
