The beautiful Jennifer booked a boudoir session a couple of months back. This was honestly one of my favorite sessions as I felt I had connected with her in a way that I don’t always get to with my clients. We had a lot in common and it was nice to see her open up in conversation and who she was as a woman.
Jennifer is a 31 year old working Momma of 3 kids and 6 animals. She’s married to her high school sweetheart and loves to be adventurous and spontaneous. She has an addiction to coffee and McDonald’s Diet Coke. (See… I told you we have a lot in common!)
I asked Jennifer to tell us a little bit about her session and why she chose to do a session.
Here’s what Jennifer had to say about her session:
“I originally choose to do a session after having some corrective surgery. I wanted to show off my post surgery body but then it became a way for me to “claim my body as mine” after being sexually assaulted. Going into my session I was anxious and uncomfortable. Because of my flaws, I was worried I wouldn’t like the end result. After my session I felt empowered, strong and proud to be who I am. Unapologetically me. The session gave me lots of confidence. I keep losing at the pictures thinking “there’s no way that’s me!” No longer, am I just a mom. I am NOT a victim. I am beautiful, strong and sexy.”
It is my hope that this session has brought Jennifer a bit a peace and strength back. She’s been through a lot in the past couple of years and I want her to know that she’s still amazing. She’s still worthy. And she’s stronger than she ever knew was possible.
We all have our own stories. I know I have my own. Do you want to get a little bit of you back? Book a session…. there’s something so empowering about it.
